Jefferson Capital Partners, Ltd. (“JCP”) is located in Richmond, Virginia.  Since its inception in 1988, JCP has invested over $200 million in growth financings, management buyouts, and recapitalizations of well-managed, rapidly growing companies, primarily in the consumer, business services, education, health care, and selected information technology industries.

In 2012, JCP through Jefferson Capital Partners, III,L.P. History

JCP was founded by Palmer P. Garson and R. Timothy O’Donnell in 1988.  Prior to raising JCP III in 2012, JCP successfully raised and invested over $150 million (through two pledge funds and a series of co-invests) in growth financings, management buyouts, and recapitalizations of well-managed, rapidly growing companies.

 

Biography

R.Timothy O’Donnell – Prior to co-founding Jefferson Capital Group, Ltd., Mr. O’Donnell worked as an investment banker for Paine Webber in New York. Mr. O’Donnell currently serves on the board of directors of several JCP portfolio companies including firstSTREET,Inc., Kicking Horse Coffee, and Oregon Ice Cream.  Mr. O’Donnell has B.A., J.D., and M.B.A. degrees from the University of Virginia.
